A sophomore at Assumption University, Vincent played defensive back for the university’s football team. Standing tall at 6’1” and weighing 190 pounds, he was known for his physicality and dedication on the field. His performance and potential had already begun to turn heads, with many believing that he had a bright future ahead in both athletics and life. But for all his success as a student-athlete, Vincent’s greatest strength was his character.
“He was so much more than just a football player,” said a coach who worked closely with Vincent. “He was the kind of player who set an example for others with his hard work and his positivity. But he was also a great teammate and friend, always there for others no matter what.”
Vincent grew up in Bethpage and was a standout athlete at Plainedge High School, where he excelled not only in football but also in basketball and track. Those close to him remember his sense of humor, his love for the TV show Stranger Things, and his genuine appreciation for the simple pleasures of life, like comfort foods such as mac and cheese.
Vincent’s passing has left a deep void in the lives of his family, including his parents Joseph and Margaret Cavaliere, and his siblings Joseph, Charlotte, and Jack. “Vincent was a gift to all of us,” said his father, Joseph. “He was full of life and had an infectious personality that made everyone feel special. His passing is an unimaginable loss.”
Friends of Vincent have come forward to remember him not only for his athletic abilities but for his larger-than-life personality and the joy he brought to those around him. “He always knew how to make you laugh, no matter what was going on,” said a lifelong friend. “Vincent was the kind of guy who would always check in on you, and he never expected anything in return.
