According to witnesses and official reports, a couple committed a tragic act by standing in front of an oncoming train, resulting in their loss of life in a scene that has deeply affected all who heard about it.
Eyewitnesses, including a man in the parking lot of Mr. Sub on Fourth Line and Speers, described the tragic scene with sorrow and disbelief. They observed a couple, standing on the embankment beside the tracks, and as the train approached, they moved to the center of the tracks, embraced each other, and remained in the train’s path. The inevitable occurred, and both individuals were struck, resulting in fatal injuries.
